On sungto.com you can write song lyrics now; hearing a finished song and buying songs there is coming soon. Today, finished songs are made and bought in the Sungto iPhone app. Web accounts, sign-in and lyrics drafts work as described below; the sections about website purchases and refunds describe how buying will work once it opens, and until then they do not apply to anyone.

These terms cover your use of the Sungto app and sungto.com, operated by WeThank Technologies FZE, registered at Business Center, Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. By using Sungto, you agree to them.

What Sungto is

Sungto turns a few details you give us about someone — their name, your relationship, an occasion, a few highlights — into an original song written and sung for them, with a share link and a download. That's the product. The lyrics, the music and the voice are generated by artificial intelligence: no person writes, sings or records your song.

Using Sungto

In the Sungto iPhone app, no sign-up is required. The app gives you one free song per device, and additional songs are sold as consumable packs (1, 3, or 6 songs) through Apple's In-App Purchase — one-time purchases, never a subscription, never auto-renewing.

If you delete and reinstall the app while signed into the same iCloud account, we do our best to restore your existing songs and remaining credits automatically.

The song maker on our website works differently: it needs a web account, described under Web accounts below.

Web accounts

To use the song maker on our website you sign in with Google or Apple, which creates a web account. When you sign in, you're asked to accept these terms and our Privacy Policy, which explains what signing in gives us and what we keep.

Separate from the app. A web account and the iPhone app are not connected. Songs and credits in the app can't be used on the website, nothing made on the website appears in the app, and we can't move anything between the two — even if you use the same Apple Account in both.
Free lyric drafts. A web account comes with a small number of free lyric drafts, given once for each Google or Apple account. It doesn't include a free song: that offer belongs to the iPhone app, where it's tied to the device. Free drafts aren't guaranteed — we may limit, pause or withhold them, including at busy times or where we see signs of abuse — and creating extra accounts to collect more isn't allowed.
Songs. On the website, a song is made from a song pack bought on the website — see Purchases & refunds. Buying a pack, and finishing a song, each add more lyric drafts to the account; those are limited too, and we may change the limits.
Your sign-in. Your web account is only as secure as the Google or Apple account behind it. Keep that account safe, and tell us if you think someone else has used your web account.
Deleting it. You can delete your web account at any time from the account menu in the song maker, or ask us to do it. That removes its drafts and songs for good, and gives up any free drafts and any songs you bought and haven't used. Unused songs aren't refunded when an account is deleted, so if a pack is still refundable, ask for the refund first. If you sign in again later you start a new, empty account: the free drafts aren't given a second time, and any refund or payment-dispute history tied to your sign-in still applies.

The song maker on the website is being introduced in stages, so it may not be open to everyone yet, and some of what the iPhone app does may not be available there.

Purchases & refunds

Songs are sold in two places: in the iPhone app and on our website. Each has its own seller, its own balance and its own refunds.

In the iPhone app

All payments in the Sungto iPhone app are processed by Apple, under Apple's own terms. Refunds are handled by Apple — see reportaproblem.apple.com. We don't have access to your payment details and can't process those refunds directly.

On our website

For the song maker on our website, songs are sold as packs of 1, 3, or 6 songs — one-time purchases, never a subscription, never auto-renewing.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders placed on our website. That means you buy the pack from Paddle: Paddle takes the payment and sends your receipt, and Paddle's own buyer terms apply to the payment. We never see or store your card details.

The price of a pack, and any tax that applies where you live, are shown before you pay.

A song is taken from your balance when you ask the song maker to generate it, not before: writing and rewriting the lyrics doesn't use one. If a song fails to generate, it goes back to your balance automatically.

A pack is refundable for 14 days if no song was generated from it. Asking for a song to be generated means asking us to start making it straight away, so a generated song can't be refunded. How to ask for a refund, and what happens after repeated refunds or a payment dispute, is set out in our Refund Policy.

Web and app songs are separate

Songs bought on the website can be used only on the website, and songs bought in the iPhone app can be used only in the app. They are separate balances: we can't move songs from one to the other, each refund is handled by the seller it was bought from, and the free song the app gives belongs to the app alone. Songs bought on the website can't be transferred to someone else or exchanged for money.

What you can create

Sungto is for real, personal gifts — a song for someone you know. You're responsible for what you type in:

Only submit details about a real person with a genuine connection to you, or a fictional scenario you're comfortable being generated as a song.
Don't use Sungto to create content that's illegal, hateful, harassing, or intended to embarrass or harm someone.
We may decline to generate, or remove, content that violates this — including through automated checks before a song is created.

Your song

The song we generate for you is yours to keep, play, download, and share. We don't reuse the personal details of your song (the recipient's name, your highlights, etc.) for any other purpose, and we don't feature real users' songs anywhere in the app or on this site — the example songs shown in the app and on this site are entirely fictional, written by our team to show what's possible.

Sharing a song

Every song gets a private, unguessable link so you can send it outside the app. Anyone with that link can listen — sharing it further is between you and whoever you send it to. Don't share a link to a song about someone without their knowledge if it contains something they wouldn't want made public.

Songs aren't stored forever

A song and its data stay on our systems for 30 days, then they're deleted. Sungto isn't a permanent archive — if you want to keep a song, download it or save its share link.

Service availability

We aim to keep Sungto reliable, but we don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or that any particular song generation will succeed on the first try. Features, pricing, and these terms may change — we'll update the date at the top when they do.

No warranty, limited liability

Sungto is provided "as is." To the extent allowed by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including a song not turning out how you imagined, or a link you shared reaching someone you didn't intend. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending your use

You can stop using Sungto at any time by deleting the app. If you have a web account, you can delete it from the account menu in the song maker, or ask us to by emailing support@sungto.com. We may suspend or end access for anyone who violates these terms, particularly the acceptable-use section above, and we may stop offering purchases to a web account after repeated refunds or a payment dispute, as the Refund Policy sets out.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
